What is the central idea of your concentration?
My sustained investigation is an exploration of myself in the metaphysical realm. I experiment with visualizing concepts of duality, illusion and altered perception through manipulating expression, the environment, and abstracted compositions. I capture the tension between authenticity and illusion. Photography layered with drawing, Photoshop, and collage allows me to distort one’s identity, blurring the line between reality and illusion. This duality reveals the double-edged nature of self-discovery through surrealistic abstraction.
